This course has been developed by ASCIA for Western Australian public schools, in conjunction with the Department of Education Western Australia.

As of September 2022, the time for Anapen® adrenaline (epinephrine) autoinjectors to be held in place has now been approved for 3 seconds (reduced from 10 seconds) by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

Launched 25 January 2023 

From 3 March 2023  Staff from the Department of Education Western Australia should now access ASCIA anaphylaxis training via the Professional Learning tab in Ikon

Student teachers and staff from other schools in Western Australia should continue to access ASCIA anaphylaxis training here

This modular course has been developed by ASCIA in conjunction with the WA Department of Health, WA Department of Education, Catholic Education Office WA and Association for Independent Schools WA for all WA school staff.

The course has been updated in July 2018 to include new generic versions of ASCIA Action Plans for Anaphylaxis. 

These plans have been developed for use with any brand of adrenaline (epinephrine) autoinjector available in Australia and New Zealand.
